Brought from the Americas in the 18th Century, when Franciscans attempted cultivating them at their monastery near Padron (Spain).

A staple of tapas bars. Some pods are sweet, but others are hot enough to keep you humble.

Uses: Soups, sauces, stews, and salsas and garnishes.
